Installation for Workers at Kasunya Banana Farm
2020
aclaira® C mini, C0, C2, and C8 treatment units have been installed for the workers at the Kasunya banana farm and the surrounding populations.
Before, how did you get drinking water? UV treatments had been installed in the banana farm, but WHO standards for drinking water were not met; many villagers around the farm had to walk 5 to 10 km to get potable water.
What has changed since Aclaira units were have been installed in the banana plantation and surrounding villages? We’ve seen a reduction in diseases due to poor water quality and an improvement in the well-being of GEL workers and local communities.
How many beneficiaries rely on the drinking water treated with aclaira® units? More than 3500 employees, their families, and over 3000 villagers benefit from the water.

An aclaira®-C0 Unit for 2500 Employees of a Banana Farm in Ghana
2017
An aclaira® C unit is now installed in a banana farm in Ghana. It has supplied the 2,500 employees and visitors with drinking water since the beginning of March 2017, which represents about 10,000 liters per day. The raw water is taken from the Volta River. Treated water quality and unit reliability are remarkable. This is a big change for the plantation which previously was relying only on a rough sand filter and UV treatment.
As part of its corporate social responsibility program, the owning company has financed the installation of a kiosk in the nearby Kasunya village

aclaira C1® Opening Ceremony at UNIPAZ
2016
Aclaira inaugurated, an aclaira®-C1 unit at UNIPAZ, or “University of Peace” in Barrancabermeja, Colombia on February 13th, 2016. On the occasion, the rector of the university gathered representatives of industries and neighboring municipalities, as well as many teachers and students.
Powered by photovoltaic panels, the unit can provide 2000 liters per hour of safe, clean drinking water from the nearby river water. It has been installed since November 12th, 2015. Aclaira initially provided training with a theoretical part on water treatment and a practical part on the unit. A dozen students have benefited from this training. The objective is that UNIPAZ develop a center of excellence about the various membrane technologies and the best techno-economic choices for small communities.
To thank him, UNIPAZ awarded Michel Farcy, President of Aclaira, a public recognition and a decoration during the official ceremony launching the new year at the university, on February 10th, 2016. The moment was highly symbolic and full of emotions!
