Despite the constant efforts of the public authorities, one out of four Malians still does not have access to safe drinking water (Source: WHO, Unicef, 2015 data – © Observatoire des inégalités). Beyond the statistics, the mediocre quality of the water consumed causes too much illness and discomfort in everyday life. Bakary Sakho, President of BECI in Bamako, Abdoulaye Doucouré, Malian of the Diaspora and Aclaira have created Donyatek with the slogan “Water for all”. The goal is to locally manufacture, market and install the most appropriate membrane treatments.
